About the job:
At Magdalene, our customers are highly valued and we strive to surpass all requests. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of a service to a key Magdalene customer, which is one of the largest private telecommunications companies in the world.
The service we offer our customer is the management of part of their technical estate, by providing a team of 22 dedicated on site engineering staff all over the UK. Those staff are in turn responsible for the activities that occur on that site. As the service manager, you will be the first point of contact for all the customer’s requests, responsible for ensuring all engineering works are completed to the highest standard on site and all the sites are fully resourced by your team.
You will manage a team of telecoms engineers; strengthening their performance by demonstrating a vested interest in the career development your team. You will be responsible for building a community for those remote engineers, ensuring they have support from their peers on other sites and Magdalene’s HQ in Cambridgeshire. You will also be responsible for managing all matters concerning employee relations in accordance with our policies and procedures.
Your amenability of health, safety and quality policies will aid in the identification and minimisation of risks.
What can you bring?
Candidates who boast a track record in managing customer relationships and have the ability to adapt to varying levels of seniority will be successful in this role. You will need to have practise at managing a diverse team, taking a proactive approach with excellent inter-personal skills. You will be meticulously organised and have experience of managing a budget.
Although managing a team of engineers, engineering knowledge is not a pre-requisite of this role as full training will be given on the service we deliver.
